Kean University’s Global Business School Attracts International Faculty From Ireland & Malaysia


New Faculty Members Enhance Global Management Studies MBA Program Expertise in Human Resources and Supply Chain Management

UNION, N.J. - Continuing its mission to attract faculty with international experience, the Kean University Global Business School announces the addition of Assistant Professors Dr. Eimear M. Nolan and Dr. Adrian Tan to its Global Management Studies MBA program, enhancing its international expertise in human resources and supply chain management.

"We are extremely pleased to have Drs. Nolan and Tan join our faculty," said Global Management Studies Director/Chair Dr. Veysel Yucetepe. "We are committed to an MBA experience for students that provides the specialized skills and knowledge necessary to successfully manage multicultural and multinational workforces in a rapidly changing global business environment. Both Eimear and Adrian will help us achieve these goals, which is great news for current and future students."

Previously an Assistant Professor with the University of Surrey in England, Dr. Nolan is originally from Ireland and focuses on International Human Resource Management (HRM). Dr. Nolan has also been a guest lecturer and tutor at the University of Limerick in Ireland, where she also received her doctorate in International HRM. Dr. Nolan's teaching and research interests focus on cross-cultural management, international and strategic HRM, expatriate adjustment, and employee job satisfaction and performance. She currently resides in Monmouth Beach.

"The diverse student cohort at Kean was very appealing to me and will be valuable to my ongoing research in cross-cultural adjustment," said Dr. Nolan. "The faculty and staff at Kean also attracted me as they are clearly committed to the University and its goals - students first. Being part of the development of the Global MBA is a tremendous opportunity as it will become a truly premier program for students and certainly having a diverse set of professors is a great starting point."

Originally from Malaysia, Dr. Tan was previously with Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada, where he received a doctorate in Management Operations and Supply Chain Management. Dr. Tan also has nearly 20 years of international informational technology, manufacturing and sales experience in Singapore and the United Kingdom with Siemens Business Services, Radiance Communications, and Wearnes Computer Services. Dr. Tan's teaching and research interests focus on operations management, management information systems, and quantitative methods. He currently resides in Westfield.
