Unity Bank Partners with Super Aging NJ and Super Aging Today Radio to Support Seniors

CLINTON, N.J. (November 17, 2014) - Unity Bank has partnered with Super Aging NJ to provide seniors in Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties with a wealth of information for successful aging through a new hyper-local website and its radio show, Super Aging Today. The website and radio show, which cater to the interests of the 50-plus population, are available at SuperAgingNJ.com.

Super Aging NJ provides readers and listeners information on discounts, events, local news, details on programs and entitlements, travel, and technology innovations for seniors, just to name a few items. Adriane Berg and Stuart Bochner, a Lebanon husband and wife team that specializes in marketing to baby boomers and active seniors, founded the website and radio program after receiving grants from the State of New Jersey and the Montclair State University School of Media and Communications, NJ Commons.

"We are pleased to be a financial partner for Super Aging NJ," said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. "Unity Bank believes in partnering with businesses and organizations that are tackling issues important to the communities we serve. Supporting residents nearing retirement age is central to our mission as a community bank."

In 2004, Berg and Bochner founded Generation Bold, a business development company to reach boomers and the mature and caregiver markets. Berg was an elder law attorney by background, and author of 13 books on the older adult lifestyle, as well as a well-known radio personality, having won an Emmy for writing and hosting "IRS Tax Beat" on the former Financial News Network. Bochner was a labor law attorney and entrepreneur, with a specialty in management, technology, publishing and web/internet presence.

"We are extremely pleased to have Unity Bank as a financial partner," said Berg. "Living a happy, productive life as we reach retirement age requires access to great information and a community connection. There is so much each county has to offer, but no one portal for all the information, so we aim to fill that void. As people who started a business at age 57 ourselves, we feel the utmost gratitude to Unity Bank for helping us celebrate aging in all its aspects. Now, at age 67 we enter the happiest phases of our life and want to inform, connect and empower everyone to celebrate aging."

The Super Aging NJ two-hour radio program airs live once a month on BlogTalkRadio.com/SuperAgingToday. Program schedules and archives are found on SuperAgingNJ.com. Previous programs have included information on exercise, leisure, avoiding scams, photography, facilities and investing.

"We started the website and radio program with the intent to provide news and information, but it is becoming more geared to advice for the audience," said Bochner. "In Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties, there are more than 70,000 residents over age 65, more than 33,000 over age 75 and nearly 5,000 over age 85, so there is a strong audience available. We see Super Aging NJ as a logical extension of the marketing services we have offered companies and organizations throughout the region."
