CLINTON, N.J. (April 9, 2015) - Unity Bank has launched the "Join Forces" campaign that will award nearly $12,000 to 19 local charitable organizations through an online contest highlighting the bank's commitment to non-profit agencies. The bank is encouraging customers and non-customers alike to visit its website at unitybank.com/joinforces/ where they can vote for their favorite organization.
Anyone can vote now through June 20 once each day for the organizations, which are separated into four program categories - youth, housing, arts and animal advocacy. The organization in each category with the most votes will receive a $2,000 donation and each runner-up will receive $250 donations. No purchase is necessary to vote in the contest, however, anyone opening up a new personal checking account with Unity Bank can also select any of the 19 charitable organizations to receive a $25 donation from the bank. There are no minimum deposits for the new account portion of the campaign and the donation is provided by Unity Bank, not the customer.
"As a community bank, supporting organizations that provide vital services in the communities where we do business is part of our mission," said James A. Hughes, Unity's President & CEO. "We try to 'Join Forces' with the people and organizations who are making a difference in the communities we serve through sponsorships and multiple partnership initiatives. We hope the public will take this opportunity to support and get involved with these important community service providers."
The 19 participating charities, which were suggested for the contest by Unity Bank employees, are:
- Youth Programs: Center for Educational Advancement - Spring Run School of Flemington, Who Is My Neighbor of Highland Park, Dreams for Kids of Somerset, The Children's Home of Easton, and Reach Educational Services of Flemington.
