Unity Bank Provides SBA Loan to Support Launch of SprinJene, A New Toothpaste Manufactured Locally

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (July 22, 2015) - Unity Bank has provided a nearly $1.3 million Small Business Administration (SBA) loan to enable Health & Natural Beauty USA Corp., a New Jersey based manufacturer of oral care products, to introduce SprinJene, a new toothpaste that utilizes a patented technology with black seed oil and is certified gluten-free, vegan, kosher and halal.

Sayed Ibrahim, Ph.D., President & CEO of the Piscataway-based corporation, has been a longstanding Unity customer and also owns a successful commercial transportation and school bus company. In addition to the SBA loan, millions of dollars have been invested in SprinJene toothpaste's raw material acquisition, research and development, staffing, manufacturing machinery, marketing and distribution.

"I have always believed the world deserved a better toothpaste, and after a successful career with a Fortune 500 oral care company, I decided it was time to move on and bring SprinJene to life," said Dr. Ibrahim. "After years of vigorous scientific testing, optimizing and testing again, we perfected a highly effective toothpaste that leverages the best of science and nature to provide gentle and effective oral care."

Of note, SprinJene does not contain any animal products or ingredients that require animal testing and avoids using harsh chemicals that can harm people and the environment. The packaging is recyclable and the toothpaste is certified by International Certification Services (gluten-free), Vegan Action (vegan), Orthodox Union (kosher), and Islamic Society of the Washington Area (halal).

"SprinJene is an exceptional toothpaste," said Marcelle Askew, Chief Branding Officer. "We carefully select pure, quality ingredients that work together to safely and thoroughly clean and whiten your teeth while rebuilding your enamel. It's an emerging patented technology."

SprinJene, with a manufacturing facility in Piscataway and laboratories in New Brunswick, commenced launch of the toothpaste in July. "We look to be available in supermarkets, pharmacies, and also through Amazon," said Russ Pritchard, Chief Marketing Officer. "The response from our focus groups has been exceptional, and they love that we are a cavity fighting toothpaste that also whitens and is free of artificial preservatives."
