MONTCLAIR, N.J. (October 27, 2016) - Unity Bank of Clinton has provided Davis Integrated Medicine a $777,000 Small Business Administration (SBA) loan to finance the recent opening of the practice's new 316 Orange Road offices.
"We have been in practice for 30 years and have literally moved across the street from our previous facility into a larger office that helps us treat a patient's whole body, mind, and spirit," said Dr. Alfred Davis Jr., D.C., director of the practice and past president of the New Jersey State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. "Our goal is really to help as many people as possible receive high quality, consistent healthcare services in a one-stop environment that is individualized to their needs. The new facility has enabled the expansion of services to meet the needs we are seeing in patients."
Davis Integrated Medicine brings a total body approach to health and wellness with a wide array of services, including massage, chiropractic care, acupuncture, homeopathy, medical weight loss, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and physical therapy, as well as a natural approach to diabetes care. The practice's integrated clinical team focuses on a non-surgical approach to wellness designed to treat the underlying medical conditions that present healthcare challenges.
"Our long term goal has always been to make the practice a valuable resource to people throughout the northeast and Unity Bank is helping us fulfill this vision," said Dr. Davis, noting that the clinic draws patients from as far away as Florida. "There were some challenges to overcome in funding the property acquisition and renovations. Unity Bank has been a valuable financial partner for Davis Integrated Medicine and exceptionally responsive to all our needs."
The practice's new facility, which previously housed a florist and dry cleaners, features a modern, open floor plan with 10 treatment rooms and service areas, including rooms dedicated to acupuncture, physical therapy and massage therapy, which have allowed the practice to expand these services. The clinic also expanded staff from nine to 12 employees.
"Dr. Davis and his team have been a valuable part of the Montclair community for many years," said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. "It has been a pleasure to help the practice invest in enhanced facilities and services for current and future patients. We wish Davis Integrated Medicine continued success for many years to come."
Unity participates in the 7(a) Loan Program, SBA's primary program to help start-up and existing small businesses obtain financing when they might not be eligible for business loans through normal lending channels.
