MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. (December 6, 2016) - Unity Bank of Clinton has provided a $442,000 Small Business Administration (SBA) loan to a Burlington County family to fund the opening of the county's first Jimmy John's restaurant franchise at 7000 Midlantic Drive in the Mount Laurel Corporate Center.
The restaurant is owned and operated by Brian Fay, 36, of Marlton, who is partners in the business with his father, Robert Fay, 75, of Shamong, and his brother-in-law, David Dorn, 40, of West Grove, Pennsylvania. The restaurant is the first Jimmy John's in Burlington County and 14th in New Jersey with the closest to the Mount Laurel location in Cherry Hill. Jimmy John's has more than 1,800 franchises nationally.
"I enjoy the restaurant business and Jimmy John's is one of the most sought after franchises nationally," said Brian Fay, who grew-up in Shamong and graduated from Medford High School. "We opened in October and the community's response has been good. Unity Bank has been great to work with and their staff has been very supportive over the two-year process to bring Jimmy John's to Burlington County."
Fay previously managed a pizzeria and is a graduate of Millersville University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He said the business, located in a newly constructed single-story building in the 10-building corporate complex, has an unusual concept. "We serve a large variety of made-to-order sub sandwiches and club sandwiches from high quality ingredients and employ a 'freaky fast' delivery model, with sandwiches made within 30 seconds," Fay said.
The restaurant has seating for 35 to 40 people and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, please visit www.jimmyjohns.com or call (856) 242-7600.
"We wish Brian and his partners much success with their new restaurant," said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. "They appear to have a great location in a large corporate park with many other businesses nearby. Jimmy John's has a successful business model that has become one of the top rated franchises in its category so we feel confident they should flourish."
