Unity Bank’s 11th Annual Classic Car Show Raises More Than $7,000 for Family Promise


CLINTON, N.J. (July 31, 2017) - Unity Bank recently raised more than $7,000 in donations for Family Promise of Hunterdon County and Family Promise of Warren County, through their 11th Annual Cruisin' Bob's Classic Car Show, which drew a record 136 automobiles. The funds were raised through sponsorships, food sales and registration fees to compete in the classic car competition with Unity Bank underwriting expenses.

"The community came together for a terrific family day to support two vital service organizations," said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. "We could not have asked for a better response from everyone involved from the car owners to the business community to attendees. A special thank you to our Unity employees who donated many hours of their time for a good cause."

Family Promise of Hunterdon County and Family Promise of Warren County provide services to both help overcome and prevent homelessness through the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) - a network of congregations and volunteers who provide overnight/weekend shelter, home-cooked meals, and companionship to families who enter the program. Comprehensive case management, licensed counseling services and a donation program are also available.

The car show was a true community effort thanks to local business sponsorships, which helped make the show a success. The emcee for the event was Doctor D. Entertainment and Lulu Laughalot Entertainment provided face painting and balloon art.
