$1 Million Renovation Project, Branding Initiative Completed at Travel Inn & Suites of Flemington

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (October 1, 2018) - Travel Inn & Suites has completed a $1 million renovation project to the locally-owned Route 202 North hotel, completely renovating all 37 rooms and expanding the facility with a breakfast area and meeting room.

Travel Inn & Suites Owner Mihir Patel of Branchburg said the extensive modernization initiative is part of a new branding project for the hotel that also includes a new logo, color scheme and signage.

"Our goal was to create a new Travel Inn & Suites for the community," said Patel. "The hotel had become outdated, so we decided to make a significant investment that would really make a difference for our guests whether they are local or from outside the region. We want people who live and work locally to feel comfortable when they refer family and colleagues."

The modernization included all new furniture, flooring, bathrooms, bedding, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, window treatments, LCD high-definition televisions, next generation RFID electronic guest room looks, refrigerators, and microwaves in the hotel's 12 suites and 25 standard rooms. A new lobby with marble flooring and new computerized front desk that features electronic check-in and a second-floor addition, created a breakfast area/meeting room that enables Travel Inn & Suites to now offer a free hot breakfast for all guests that meets the brand standards of major hotel chains. Exterior renovation also included a face-lift of all the buildings with new columns and new stucco exterior, security system, newly paved parking lot and new LED exterior lighting.

"As a independently-owned small hotel we can offer guests great quality and value at an economical price that really cannot be matched by the big chains," said Patel. "Throughout all the renovation we have tried to meet or exceed the brand standards of major new hotel chains. We also have started establishing partnerships with community organizations and businesses, such as Diamond Nation, to provide special arrangements for their employees, clients and customers."

Travel Inn & Suites, located at 482 US 202 North, is less than three miles from Diamond Nation, making it ideal for baseball teams participating in tournaments. Standard rooms at the hotel start at just $65, while suites are a significant value starting at $80. Travel Inn & Suites is located on the same property as the Al Forno 202 Authentic Italian Grill, which offers hotel guests a 15 percent discount.

"The hotel also receives many guests from nearby businesses in Somerset County who are increasingly recognizing the value we can offer employees in need of extended stays," said Patel. "We are looking forward to becoming more active in the Hunterdon business community now that the modernization project is complete."

Patel and his wife, Ankur, have lived in Branchburg since 2005. They have two children Manav, 10, and Anshi, 6.
